Supply chains disruptions (semiconductor chips crisis) had a strong negative impact on activity of automotive industry in Europe.
As compared with October 2020, production has fallen by 20% in Germany and by 30% in France and Spain.
Also, CEE countries (Romania, Poland, and Czechia) recorded large production losses in May, while being enough resilient in the previous months (no data for May yet available for Hungary).
