China outperformed by far the US and Euro area economies since the beginning of COVID-19 pandemics. US and Germany showed also a good resilience during the lockdown. Economic activity in France and Italy recovered very rapidly in 2020 Q3 following the collapse in the first half of the year. Spain suffered the most as real GDP has remained substantially below the pre-crisis level from 2019 Q4.
